Staging
Your Home
What Is It, Why
Do It and Does It Work?
1.
WHAT IS IT?
Styling a home can be elaborate and cover almost every known detail
or minimal depending on the budget and need. Staging can include any
or all of the following: furniture, rugs, window treatments, plants,
outdoor furniture, books, lighting, music or simple items such as
night slippers or garments hanging in the closet for effect.
2. HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost varies depending on the level of quality and detail home
design needed and the square footage of that home. The cost can further
increase if the Seller desires special touches, such as real plants
and flowers throughout the home. Many stagers calculate a per square
foot cost. The price for a 2200 sq ft home could range from 6000 for
a three month contract or a great deal more. There actually is no
limit especially in Beverly Hills.
3.
CAN WE STILL LIVE IN THE HOME IF IT IS STAGED?
Many stagers do not want anyone living in the property to preserve
the furnishings but you may find that they may be willing to consider
that situation when a partial staging has been done and when the Seller
promises not to use those furnishings.
